Logan Brewer-Hearst arrested by EPD on drug and firearm charges

 

Logan Brewer- Hearst was arrested early am today by Eureka Police Department. I have requested a booking photo from EPD. Not sure it will be issued due to the Ninth Circuit ruling. I also inquired about a press release and EPD PIO Laura Montagna told me she is working on one. It was issued on December 3 and I have added it to the post. Ronald Steven McNair was also arrested and booked for probation violation.

PC192(b) manslaughter, PC245(a)(2) assault with a firearm, WI777, PC25850(c)(6), PC25850(a) carrying a loaded firearm in public, PC25400, HS11351, HS11379(a), HS11378, HS11370.1(a). Some charges such as the manslaughter and assault with a firearm are from a new arrest; others from a bench warrant in his juvenile case. Juvenile cases are confidential and not accessible in the public court system.

The last post I did was in August 2023 when he was arrested by Probation for the second time in 2023.

Brewer-Hearst has a 2024 traffic case with a 12/23/24 date to pay or appear.

EPD Press Release (issued December 3):

On December 2, 2024, at approximately 1:04 a.m., an Officer from the Eureka Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Winco parking lot for a traffic violation. 

Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, the Officer learned that one of the occupants was on searchable probation and the other had an active warrant for their arrest. The occupants were detained and the vehicle was searched. 

During the search of the vehicle, Officers located two handguns, one of which was loaded, over 7 ounces of suspected Methamphetamine, 390 Fentanyl pills, and approximately two pounds of processed marijuana. 

Logan Rain Brewerhearst, 21 years old from Eureka, was arrested and booked at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of methamphetamines with intent to sell, felony possession of a usable amount of a controlled substance while being armed with a loaded and operable firearm, sale (or transportation for sale of methamphetamine, possession for sale of a controlled substance, concealed carry of a firearm on your person or in your vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm by a non-registered person. 

Ronald Steven McNair, 21 years old from Eureka was taken into custody and booked on probation violation.
