A jury of your peers during COVID 19 may be more like a jury of who shows up

Elderly juror with health issues had difficulty accessing the online system. He also has concerns about COVID 19.  A large portion of the jury pool in Humboldt ends up being older and retired people.



Until today, the jury room had a drop box outside. Now, the jury room is open since jurors have been summoned. Out of a 100 jurors, three showed up this morning . This afternoon, I saw one in the jury room and two enter as I was leaving the Courthouse.

Several hundred jurors are scheduled for tomorrow. How many will show? A jury of your peers during COVID 19 may be more like a jury of who shows up.
