"To make one person safe, we are going to make an entire community afraid"

Once again, the typical pattern followed, the Willow Creek community spoke up like other communities and eloquently. The placement in Willow Creek was denied, Liberty HealthCare told to continue their search for a more urban placement and in all California counties. Transient release is not an option.

Next hearing is December 13. Nobody will show up because there is no pending placement and the cycle will repeat unless a decision is made by Judge John Feeney and at some point, he will be forced to do so by the defense according to law.

Arguments and information by Cooley's attorney were disputed by the DA and Willow Creek neighbors.

One Willow Creek resident, Asriel who made quite a few comments from the audience during the proceeding yelled to Judge John Feeney, "Why don't you have him live at your house?"

He is the one who said, ""To make one person safe, we are going to make an entire community afraid."

Commenting on the lack of notification to.the community, another resident Steve Wilson said, "You are protecting someone's rights but you are not protecting our rights by keeping things secret."

A couple of speakers said they would feel differently if Cooley was participating in treatment but his refusal makes this situation different.

For the first time Joshua Cooley's father, David was in court and instead of the grandparents, David Cooley repeated the inaccurate statement that his son is not a rapist.

Registered sex offender Ryan Landowski is related to Cooley. Both have violated parole and reoffended. Instead of blaming the DA, maybe the Cooleys and Landowskis should stop breeding perverts.

Sheriff  Honsal's remark that Liberty Healthcare needs to do their job instead of passing the buck as soon as possible got Rafael Loya of Liberty Healthcare but it is a statement that is truthful.

Loya proved Sheriff Honsal right because despite being told to search in all counties, he said the best place for Cooley is Eureka.

Before every hearing, Loya is all cozy with Cooley's family and talks more with the defense than the DA.

Liberty Healthcare has searched various properties, and Judge Feeney keeps ruling out properties every hearing to pacify the Humboldt communities but he had a chance to place Cooley in Tehama and because there was no community at that hearing, he gave in to the family and Humboldt was back on the table.
