The post about Goldan's arrest was on May 17. On May 31, he tried to bribe me to take the post down via a third party. I declined. I have saved those texts.
Today, I received a call and then a text from his attorney. She is not even licensed to practice in CA. I reported public information about Goldan that was accurate.
To me, Glenn Goldan is no different than anyone else. Had he approached this differently, I may have just left it at the initial post about the arrest.
I was the only one to report on Eureka Natural Foods owner Rick Littlefield's 5th DUI for which he got SWAP and probation. The only one to report on local attorney Kathleen Bryson's DUI. There are several court cases and news articles the other media has ignored. Readers have noticed and commented.
This is what happens when other local media look the other way and do selective reporting. Instead of suporting and standing up for freedom of press for all media, they allow such intimidation by their silence. For decades,other media outlets have allowed those with money and power to get a pass. In a small town, there are financial benefits if you look the other way.

DeleteThis is the number she called from and then texted me. I even offered to give Glenn Goldan suhgestions of local attorneys, that offer was rebuffed. According to this link, Ms. Kreder is licensed to practice in Florida, New York and Texas. My readers are not just local and there are plenty of legal professionals and media nationally that follow my work and from each of those Eastern states.
