Terri Matson, local jeweler Darin Goodale's "bestie" found dead

Terri Matson, who lived at 2000 block of Huntoon Street was found dead this week. Eureka Police Department did go to the scene on February 11. The Humboldt County Sherrif's office and EPD are doing a joint investigation and HCSO is the lead agency. An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday.

EPD Crime analyst and PIO Brittany Powell said, "At this point there is nothing to suggest foul play."

HCSO confirmed that Terri Matson was found deceased on her property on the 2000 block of Huntoon Ln. in Eureka. The autopsy is scheduled for this Saturday.

An obituary will be released soon, according to the family.

The rest of information below is from multiple sources in the community who knew Madsen well.

Security tapes from neighbors have been turned over to EPD.

Matson was the "bestie" of local jeweler Darin Goodale was knocking on neighbor's doors ranting unfounded claims about what happened.

Goodale was a frequent guest of Matson's at the Ingomar Club.

A staff member told me Darin Goodale does not own property in Eureka however I have other information and will check on it myself.

Goodale maybe familiar from his reckless evading case. He is on informal diversion for that case.

This is a post I did where another older woman accused Darin Goodale of assault.

Then there was the issue of him being "pantsed"after he chased a homeless woman.
