Defense to request Cy Vandermeer arraignment be continued to April

As reported previously on February 5, Cy Vandermeer was charged with burglary. He was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.

Vandermeer has retained Mr. Ben Okin. Vandermeer is in a residential treatment program. Mr. Okin is going to request that arraignment continued to a date in April.

Judge Lawrence Killoran granted the defense request. Arraignment is scheduled April.16. A bench warrant of $50,000  was issued but "will be held" until that date. This means it is not an active warrant. Vandermeer is ordered to stay in compliance with his residential treatment program.

Deputy District Attorney Tobias Hasler appeared in court for arraignment. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Joel Buckingham.
