Another pending litigation against the County? Does the County even listen to their employees?

Another pending/proposed litigation against the County of Humboldt?

Elena Susmilch has been with the Humboldt County Assessor's office for years. Since last August, she has not been at the office.

I have sent a public records request regarding Ms. Susmilch and her pending litigation against the County of Humboldt.

I have no idea what the County will provide me so I am putting the following questions in print for County Counsel, Sean Quincey, the Board of Supervisors to respond to via email or below in the comment section.

1. Has County Counsel met with the management of the Assessor's office regarding Ms. Susmilch, her pending/proposed litigation and any claims/concerns she has expressed to any or all of you?

2. Was Ms. Susmilch "offered to quit or drop the litigation and is it true she refused?"

3. Why does her "come back" date keep getting extended another month?

In addition to Ms. Susmilch, another appraiser' s last day is Friday. The former assistant assessor quit a couple of years ago,

Then there is this letter sent to the Humboldt Planning Commission in 2009. I have cropped Ms. Susmilch's address and phone numbers.

(I have also sent a public records request regarding this pending litigation)

These posts are the ones I have done about Patrick Mctigue. I have been told potential litigation is being considered.
