"My friend Dirty Dave-UBNC oldest member-started the oldest toy run in the state-was hit by drunk driver and killed yesterday by Winco."

EPD arrested Gary Cudney yesterday and he was booked on the charge of gross vehicular manslaughter.

Cudney has posted bail and is out of custody.
Tina DeKruse is a local community member, I have known for a few years. She shared this photo of "Dirty Dave", a member of the United Bikers of Northern California.

"Driver was a guy named Gary Cudney. Can you please post for those of us who loved him so much? Awesome awesome man! Use to say "No smiling-No laughing!" he was so very loved."

I did contact EPD for a booking photo and more information. Captain Patrick O' Neill responded. "We are still actively investigating this incident and are not at a place in the investigation to prepare a press release on the matter. A booking photo will be a part of that future press release."

  1. Well Mr. Cudney, rest assured you will only (at the very most) have to do a year in county jail once it's all said and done. I mean the Kade Chandler case, that guy killed two and that's all he got. This county makes it a good safe place for DRUNK DRIVERS.

  2. Dirty Dave was a special person in our community. His biker friends will be crushed by this hit and run and Dave's passing. Cudney is now on the awareness list of all bikers. I wouldn't want that status at all.
I was proud to have known you Dave and will always remember you.

  3. Where is the chorus of those who proclaim, "alcoholism is a disease", it's not their fault?

Maybe we should hand out bottles of booze to the "diseased" alcoholics, just like some want to hand out needles to the "diseased" junkies?
