Jury trial confirmed for Polish citizen charged with death of her baby

Trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for Ewa Misztal, the Polish citizen, arrested in Arcata last year, and charged with the death of her baby.

Trial is now scheduled for April 17. The defense requested a continuance at the last court hearing.

Visiting Judge Marjorie Carter in for Judge Marilyn Miles. Mr. Luke Brownfield in for Public Defender Casey Russo, Misztal's attorney.

Deputy District Attorney is prosecuting rhe case. Trial date confirmed. Estimate 3-4 weeks.
