The preliminary hearing for Jon Goldberg's 2017 case has been continued three times. Today, on April 11 at 2:30 p.m., Judge Dale Reinholtsen is expected to rule on the defense motion to close the courtroom for the preliminary hearing.

And it was continued again today, fortunately I checked the computer and found this order issued today, last minute.

Two witnesses, for People Frieda Smith and defense subpoenaed Fortuna police officer Ryan Richardson are expected to testify at the preliminary hearing. Smith for the People. Officer Richardson was subpoenaed by the defense.

Count 1 is Assault with a firearm on (alleged victim) Rachel Goldberg; firearm used is alleged to be a revolver. Special allegation for Count 1 is "in the commission of the offense personally used a firearm."

Count 3 is battery. Alleged victim is Rachel Goldberg.

Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is prosecuting the case. Goldberg is represented by Mr. Casey Russo, from the Public Defender's office.
