"We are not getting rich on this; this is not a situation where there is a mysterious envelope of cash."

In their post last week, Lost Coast Outpost made a big deal out of naming three "conservatives", in their opinion, out of a total of 846, property owners  leasing property or owned property where an existing grow or proposed grow was located.

They contacted Ben Shepherd and Neal McKenny but had no comment from Larry Doss.

I contacted Mr. Doss, who is a local businessman and real estate broker.

"In this case, it is just a lease," said Mr. Doss.
"This person wanted to lease and told me that they were going to do a medical grow. My tenant showed me a lot of documentation, from their consultant, Paul Gallegos. They assured me they were taking all the proper steps and were covered. "

"I thought this would be a good opportunity to learn and grow through the process so it would be helpful to future tenants," said Mr. Doss. "We are not getting rich on this; this is not a situation where there is a mysterious envelope of cash."

"They give us a check like any other tenant."
