Intervention was scheduled this morning for Reed Tardy in Courtroom 5.
Dates were confirmed. However, his attorney, Deputy Public Defender Meagan O' Connell, put the People's offer on record. It will stay open until the preliminary hearing, which is September 7.
The offer is to plead to Count 2 and 3 (open). People will "strike special allegations," said Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees.
Charges in the arraignment complaint include 3 counts. Count 2 has a special allegation.
Tardy was arrested on August 22 for resisting arrest, assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, criminal threats and vandalism.

Why are we giving him a plea deal? Don't our prosecutors know how to win cases that are open and shut?
ReplyDeleteAand How do you know it's "open & shut" Are you the prosecutor? Are you one of the responding Officers? Or did you read the total of 5 paragraphs written on this story? You were born art the wrong time, You would have made a great Gestapo Officer or Stasi Officer.
