Kimberly Felder enters an additional plea of not guilty by insanity

Kimberly Felder had a hearing scheduled this morning in Courtroom 5 for the receipt of Dr. Renouf's report.

Judge Christopher Wilson said he had not received a report from Dr. Renouf. Deputy Public Defender Marek Reavis, who represents Felder, told Judge Wilson that Dr. Renouf did not have time to evaluate Felder, for a second opinion.

Defense submitted on the initial report by Dr. Ramirez and Felder entered an additional plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

Criminal proceedings were reinstated. The People and defense will submit  recommendations for appointment of doctors on September 14 at 10:15.

Felder was more subdued today and has a short haircut now. No one was in court on behalf of Felder. She kept saying "okay" in response to Mr. Reavis' remarks, when he spoke with her privately, before her case was called.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees appeared on behalf of Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads, who is prosecuting the case.
