Later on in the morning, the Board of Supervisors heard on the petition to place mobile rent control ordinance on ballot.
It will be on November 8, 2016 ballot. The deadline to place this on the ballot is this Friday. The Board also had the option of adopting the ordinance but chose to put it to the voters due to the feedback they received.
While this ordinance will only affect unincorporated areas, it will be voted on by all voters in the County.
The discussion was very spirited with both seniors as well as local mobile park owners weighing in.
County Administrative Office and Building and Planning are tasked with getting back to the Supervisors, the cost of implementing and enforcing this ordinance.
