City of Eureka extends deadlines for proposals to establish a Homeless Day Center Facility

The City of Eureka has announced that it has extended the deadline for proposals received to establish a Day Center Facility for Homeless Adults, initiated as a six month pilot project. 

"The proposal, if adopted, would also financially punish states that fail to decriminalize marijuana..."

According to ArsTechnica:

"A Democratic senator from New Jersey proposed legislation (PDF) Tuesday that would remove marijuana from the federal list of controlled substances."

Daniel Lee Jackson was booked on June 29 at 9:25 p.m. after being arrested by HCSO for the charge of PC 261 (a) (2)., forcible rape.

His bail was  set at $100,000. He bailed out on June 30.

Yesterday, Eddie Koch, who had a bench warrant out, was booked into jail on the charge of resisting arrest.

Koch is known for not showing up for court, violating parole, but most famous for leaving the courthouse in the middle of the Jason Warren trial and having a material witness warrant issued, compelling him to return and finish testimony.

Alleged robbery suspect shot by security guard at the Shell gas station on Fifth and N


According to scanner traffic, a security guard allegedly shot a suspect, who was wielding a knife, a little after 8 p.m. this evening. The incident occurred at the Shell Gas Station on Fifth and N.
