I said on March 15 The Atlantic would be doing a Humboldt story

I said on March 15 The Atlantic would be doing a Humboldt story. It was supposed to be published on March 18.

The article was published on April 12.

Now I know why Ray Christie would not tell me what the Atlantic story was about. As a part of his plea, Ray Christie paid $12,000 in lieu of fine to Redwood Pals rescue located in Mckinleyville. If that case had gone to trial, Ray Christie told me an animal rights group might testify for him.

The real story is why just target the Alexandres and not any one else in Humboldt County. I reported about the Alexandre family farm in 2021 and a history with Ray Christie.

If the Atlantic wanted to do an investigative story making a difference about animal suffering and Humboldt, they should have done more than single out Alexandre Family Farm based on tips given from people for less than altruistic reasons and more based on the jealousy and infighting among the Humboldt ranchers.

As for part 2 or 3 that Christie hinted at to be published in the future, if the Atlantic or any other national publication is going to do a half baked "article" and on stuff I reported three years ago based on tips from people in Humboldt with an agenda that is behind a paywall; I will pass. If I wanted to read sloppy "reporting" based on petty agendas, there are plenty of options in Humboldt.
