Attempted murder and criminal threats suspect Ryan Thomas Smith is suing the County of Humboldt. I reported on Smith's arrest by the Fortuna Police Department last November. The habeas corpus petition was filed by Smith in February 2024.
Smith and two other lawsuits filed against the County of Humboldt are listed under closed session on the agenda for the April 23 Humboldt County Board of Supervisors meeting.
