Three EPD cars near Craig Hansen Insurance early a.m.

 

Around 1:15 a.m., there were lights flashing with what seemed like one EPD vehicle behind the white car parked right next to Craig Hansen Insurance on 3rd and V. You could see this from a few blocks away.

When I got closer, I saw HCSO and EPD vehicles on scene. The cars look similar from a distance. It was dark but when I got closer, I could see different uniforms.

At 1:27, the door to the white car was open and a police officer walked to the patrol vehicle with a suspect in cuffs, then back to the car. You can see one person sitting on the sidewalk in cuffs in the photos above.

A few minutes later, more two more EPD vehicles on the scene.  All cars gone by 1:55 with one EPD car driving around the area to 2nd V, back towards 3rd and V and now at 5th and V.

I contacted EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell this morning. "I think it might have been two HCSO cars.  I show one EPD unit arrived at about 1:45 and left at about 1:55.  They were out assisting HCSO.  No other details were provided in our CAD system."
