After four years of trying to resolve this 2018 case, persistent efforts by Gary Cudney's attorney, Mr. Manny Daskal, paid off. Cudney is the suspect in Dirty Dave's death.
On 12/5, the most recent intervention hearing with Judge Kelly Neel, a change of plea is scheduled for 12/14.
Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward was the prosecutor for the case but he will be start his term in January as a Humboldt Superior Court Judge. Deputy DA Whitney Timm has been assigned the case.
Trial confirmation on 1/3/23 and jury trial on 1/9/23.
12/14: Change of plea continued by stipulation to 12/22.
12/22: Change of plea continued to 12/27 by defense, Cudney not present. If Cudney not in court in person on 12/27, Court will issue bench warrant.
12/27: Bench warrant issued for $35,000. Dates for 1/3/23 and 1/9/23 vacated.
