Virginia, thank you for keeping your promise

 

On December 5, I did a post on Lee retiring. I sent that post to several people including law enforcement, attorneys Fourth District Supervisor Virginia Bass who see Lee on a daily basis.

Virginia thanked me and said she didn't know he was retiring at the end of the month. I asked her if she could do something to recognize him at a Board of Supervisors meeting. Thank you Virginia for following through with that promise. 

In that text exchange, I told her that I specifically sent this information to her so she could put something on the  agenda before Rex used it as another selfish opportunity and to hog all the credit.

Rex is all about attention, photo ops and getting his ego stroked. All those churchgoers fawning on his Facebook page, when is the last time you actually saw Rex at any church service? 

Many others do a lot for this community without expecting anything in return.  This is without getting paid and without constantly bragging abou it on their personal Facebook page.

Rex gets paid an outrageous salary and benefits. He gets to attend events and schmooze and promote his sycophants and buddies.

The lifelong local "media" tools and their "outlets"  get all the County, City of Eureka, City of Arcata, non profit, CalPoly,  Providence, certain casino and Rex's, his buddies' and the Humboldt cabal advertising. They certainly repay the favor by groveling and calling Rex the "most hardworking Supervisor" in Humboldt. Just like him, they are a joke. You cannot be an accurate source of information for the People when you enable and refuse to expose the entrenched network and systemic oppression choking Humboldt with the same tired stories for decades of interest to the few Humboldt Connected. They profit from Humboldt staying stagnant and under their control.

If Humboldt had real journalism, there would be no need for people overwhelmingly turning to this blog and going to regional and national media to get real, relevant and investigative news published. 

I call Rex out unlike the two faced, gutless sycophants feeding at his trough. The same retaliatory fools who attack and and misdirect their anger at me for speaking what they whisper behind Rex's back. 

These two faced cowards know what Rex and his buddies have cost Humboldt, their bank accounts,  seats in this year's election and the majority on the Board of Supervisors and Eureka City Council yet they stay silent and enable him.

Virginia was someone I considered a friend at one time. I spent time with her and her family at Thamksgiving and Christmas. Who knows what may happen in the future? If she is not in local politics, we may be able to restablish some semblance of a friendship free of the stench that permeates the Humboldt cabal and connected. 

Unlike Rex, Virginia is sponsoring the agenda item honoring Lee out of genuine gratitude for his service. I have known Virginia for over a decade.  It is nice to see the Virginia I once knew sponsor this proclamation for her last meeting as Fourth District Supervisor.

Lee is a decent man who treats everyone with respect. Lee's work ethic and morals are rare. A proclamation like this is what elected officials should do more.
