Former Humboldt Superior court mediator and CWS employee Joseph Hale was arrested on June 29, 2022 for criminal invasion of privacy.
I reported first about his arrest as well as exclusive and regular information for the past 5 months. I do know the investigation by the DA has been done but a report has not yet been written or submitted by DA Investigator Ryan Hill. Why?
I may have some more information I have not included yet for several reasons. I am waiting for the DA's report and to see if charges will be filed.
This is a high profile arrest which involves a former Humboldt Superior Court and CWS employee. It has implications in and for the community. I am sure the Humboldt cabal and connected would prefer no coverage.
I have been told that former DA and now criminal defense attorney, Paul Gallegos, is representing Hale.
There has been relief expressed by at least a couple of people at the Courthouse that Hale had no photos of them.
On December 29, it will be 6 months from the day Hale was arrested. Why haven't charges been filed and why does Hale have a high price attorney who moves in the same circles as Humboldt Judges, the DA's office and has connections with Humboldt Superior Court?
The public deserves answers and to know some deal isn't in the works. Private attorneys do try and negotiate with the DA before an arraignment.

647j PC is the California Penal Code section that makes it a crime for a person unlawfully to invade someone else’s privacy. A conviction is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in jail and a fine of up to $1000.00.
There are three ways a person can incur invasion of privacy charges:
by using a device (like binoculars) to view someone inside a private room
by secretly photographing or recording a person’s body under the clothing for sexual arousal, or
by secretly recording or photographing someone in a private room to view that person’s body.
