Lauren Pedicini was arrested in July 2020 for child endangerment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct under the influence and vandalism.

If you care about justice, if you care about accountability, if you care about the dignity of the judicial robe and if you care about who should have the power making decisions that have a lifetime impact, especially on innocent children you will take the time to read this entire post.

Former Humboldt Public Defender Rory Kalin, Ben Erickson, Kye Mihaljevich are just the tip of the iceberg. Besides myself, three other men have risked a lot by using our names and bringing you information that no one else has the guts in Humboldt to address.

If you have read my numerous posts, the comments in the Robing Room about Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis , the lawsuit against him, how much more is needed to convince anyone that this man has no business being a Judge; let alone the Presiding Judge for Humboldt Superior Court? Several different, unrelated people are speaking up at great risk and all about one person and similar behavior? I believe them because I have seen, observed him in court myself.

Often a defendant in criminal cases also has a family law case. Prior to being transferred to criminal court this year, Judge Elvine-Kreis was in family court.

There is a current lawsuit involving Judge Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield with serious allegations which has only been covered regularly on my blog with exclusive information. There was this comment regarding this post on the Words Worth Facebook page.

Do potential voters care about District Attorney candidate and Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada relationship outside the courtroom with Judge Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield? Did his donors even bother to check any of Kamada's record as an attorney?

I heard from Valentino yesterday and am sharing two emails with his permission.

Email #1:

Dear Mr. Chiv,

I wanted to reach out to you to briefly share my story because I noticed you're the only one reporting on Judge Gregory Elvine Kreis.

First off, I really appreciate and respect your journalism and reporting. Thank you so much for what you do.

My ex-wife (who I filed and was granted a divorce from) was Lauren Pedicini, the naked woman who escaped from a police car and was running down Hwy. 101 naked on July 18th of 2020. We share a 4 year old child together.

This was her 3rd DUI, 3rd battery on a police officer, and 2nd child endangerment all within three years. She had also been arrested for domestic violence against me with the police taking pictures of a gash on the back of my head she made and confiscating a titanium hiking stick she hit me with when I was trying to get away from her.

During this time I was not arrested for anything and in my whole life my criminal record is very limited with a DUI and disturbing the peace charge when I was in my younger twenties. I am 41 years old now. I am a law abiding good citizen. I've lived in Salmon Creek, Eureka, and Rio Dell. I am acquaintances with and have worked for Kym Kemp in the past. I have never had or caused any problems for anybody. People have told me I make Humboldt County a better place. I believe I do (I try at least) and I believe I have earned the respect of many good, well known and respected people in the County.

Out of concern for children, people and society in general I just wanted to briefly make a statement to you about Gregory Elvine Kreis.

My story is very deep and would take many pages to explain all the details:

Lauren and I had been split up for over a year before her arrest in 2020 and she had been getting heavily into drugs and more and more strung out.

To make a very long story short, Lauren moved back to New Jersey in with her mother to be supervised and hopefully get sober.

Gregory gave my child back to her after she had only been sober for two months... And who knows if she actually was, because there was no drug or alcohol testing required. In fact I have many videos I submitted to my lawyer and Gregory during phone calls with my son I captured with bottles of booze in the background behind her proving she was not staying sober. I could make a long list of other serious infractions and damaging acts by her that are extremely disparaging and mentally damaging to my child.

All of her charges were dropped from 2020 except a vandalizing a police cruiser charge with no explanation. The DA will not let my lawyer subpeona her arrest records even with my child and I being listed as victims on two of her arrests and being in the Witness Protection Program both times. Why is the court system trying to protect this repeat offender and not helping me out protect my child?

Gregory literally threw away all hard evidence against this woman even tons of evidence I had outside of the police records. If my lawyer had a good point Gregory would interrupt him immediately shut him down and end the court session. Gregory would never let me speak even though I stayed quiet and respectful during all the court proceedings. I asked him to let me make a statement. He looked me straight in the eye and he told me he would give me time to speak during an upcoming hearing. Well needless to say that was a complete lie and he never allowed me to speak. Is my lawyer or I would mention anything about it of course you would just interrupt us and shut us down instantly.

If I myself had threatened my ex or hurt her or my child in some way maybe I could understand his judgments with that was not the case whatsoever.

Out of necessity I moved to New Jersey to make sure my son is okay and if anything happens I'll be here to rescue him for the third time when the police take Lauren back to jail while she was in custody of my child.

I've read comments articles from from you and talked to other people as well I've been on the receiving end of Gregory's criminal judgements. I know I am not alone.

If anything happens to my precious child, the County of Humboldt better be prepared to be sued to kingdom come along with Gregory.

Once again, thank you so much for your work, honest reporting and exposing the truth. Nobody should be above the law and allowed to abuse their power so blatantly as Gregory.

You can definitely share it. I would be happy to help in any way I can for justice be served and truth to prevail.

I also saw Gregory severly abuse his power when Rory Hanson was representing my ex-wife and I did not have a lawyer because my case was a slam dunk (so I thought...) My ex-wife Lauren slandered me and told blatant lies to the court in order to leverage her case. I had video, text messages and documents debunking her claims, proving they were false and she was making up lies about me. None of that mattered to Gregory Elvine Kreiss as long as Rory Hanson was representing her.

Not long after that Lauren was subsequently arrested again in her 2020 incident. They obviously could not point the finger at me any longer. Her own actions at that point should have destroyed all credibility for her and Rory Hanson and that what I had been saying all along about how they were being dishonest and attempting to manipulate the court were true. Mr. Hanson subsequently excused himself from representing Lauren any further and I would think that must have been extremely embarrassing for him. Personal clout was all that mattered for Gregory, more than honesty and integrity. My experiences with Gregory have destroyed my faith in the justice system, something I used to strongly believe in.

I asked for a different judge but was unable to get one for some reason. I wish I had written you much sooner.

I have another case against Lauren in New Jersey now. My lawyer is fighting for full custody. We will see how that goes over the next few months.

Thank you for your time, interest and concern. I highly respect what you do and all of your reporting. It is evident you pour your life into what you do and you do a great job.

The California Commission on Judicial Performance and the California Judicial Council, former Presiding Judge Joyce Hinrichs, Humboldt Superior Court CEO Kim Bartleson, Humboldt Superior Court Operations Manager Kelly Nyberg and anyone in the legal community who has stayed silent about Judge Elvine-Kreis should be embarassed because they clearly do not care about the dignity or reputation of California and Humboldt courts.

It should not be the job of an independent blogger and a few people to stand up against tons of money and an entrenched system that has failed us repeatedly. I don't have the time nor is it my job to investigate every news tip on Elvine-Kreis or everything that needs investigated about Humboldt.

Humboldt, especially those with money, talk the talk about how they want crime addressed and prosperity and to bring jobs but very few with concrete actions have shown they fund independent, investigative reporting or to fund anyone that would change the status quo.

Those that have consistently and for long term supported this blog deserve your thanks because they care about truth, transparency, independent journalism and this community.

Investing in any community I live is my passion. In every other community, I received thanks, personal support, credit for my hard work and many happy memories which outweigh whatever struggle and injustice I faced. People asked me to move back but once you leave a place, you move forward to a different chapter.

I invest a lot of my own time and money I don't have to spare in Humboldt because I believe in what I do. There isn't enough money to compensate me for what I do or the daily personal risk to my safety and life. I do this despite the unwarranted hatred, judgement and repeated attacks from weak and miserable people who destroy everything around them with their negativity and refusal to accept responsibility for their wrongdoing and the evil they create and perpetuate in Humboldt. This community spews filth anonymously about Visiting Judges and others who are just doing their job, who have done nothing to them, who they do not know just because some locals did not like a valid ruling or a decision.

When you are around so much darkness which belongs to others and fighting their battles, it gets to you after 18 years. I am still positive but what I write about on this blog, why I started this blog was to expose evil and that is not lighthearted stuff. You try what I do for one day with the challenges constantly thrown at me in Humboldt.

If your other local media, business leaders and elected officials had done 1/10th of what they get paid for in decades; there would be a different environment here and life wouldn't feel like the constant, oppressive struggle many of you feel.

There are those who understand and support and value me in Humboldt. They know who they are.

Humboldt courts are full of tragic, sad cases that started out in this community, went unaddressed and did not have to end in the justice system. Judge Elvine-Kreis has failed many who turned to the last resort for justice. All the laws in the world can't protect you if they are not applied correctly.

Readers like Kye are the ones I am grateful for most because they value me and show it with action. They stand next to me, taking a risk and are brave enough to stand up to the power and abuse in Humboldt.

In Humboldt Superior Court system, these are the cases for Lauren Pedicini. I asked Kye, " I dont see a 3rd DUI or 3rd arrest for battery. I see two DUIs and her 2020 arrest."

He responded, "She was arrested but never charged. She spent 6 days in jail for her 2020 arrest. Her first DUI I know about was in 2017, I thought she was arrested for battery as well but thinking about it I could be mistaken about that one. If so, I apologize.

Then the second DUI and battery was May 4th or 5th of 2018. When I picked up my child the first thing the officer said was "Damn, she put up one hell of a fight!'. She came out of jail covered in bruises and tried to claim I put those bruises on her. I have pictures of the bruises, they are covering her body from head to toe.

The third DUI and battery was in 2020 with her sending an officer to get a medical evaluation. Lauren tore her ACL fighting the police and has had three surgeries on her leg since then. Right now, she is on crutches and healing from her latest surgery which was an implant she received from a cadaver."

I don't have time to go check every court minute for all these cases and I followed up.once with Kye.

The gist of what he said has been told to me by several people. There have been enough complaints filed and issues raised about one judge and the agencies overseeing the California courts need to follow up and earn their overpaid bureaucratic salaries.

Both Kye and Lauren had several different lawyers represent them including Mr. Hanson, Mr. Eddie Schrock, Ms. Joan Gallegos and Mr. Delman Smith.
