Trial setting and hearing on three defense motions in Ray Christie's case was continued to this morning to September 4.
Defense motion was granted by Judge Lawrence Killoran. It was continued again to September 4 for "time certain."
The request was due to the circumstances and conditions created by the (COVID-19) pandemic.
One is a supplemental motion to clarify a discovery motion. The motion to dismiss has to do with double jeopardy. There is another motion to unseal Exhibit 3 of the jury note.
Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward and Deputy DA David Moutrie are prosecutors for the case. Mr. Moutrie appeared on the case today.
Mr. John Cogorno and Mr. Ken Bareilles are Christie's attorneys. Mr. Cogorno appeared on the case today.
