Judge Wilson orders John Ford to be present at the next court date mentioning sentencing has been continued several times

Sentencing for former insurance agent John Ford was continued to this morning so he could be personally present. He was not in court today. Judge Christopher Wilson ordered Ford be present on September 24, saying, "the matter has been continued several times."

Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian appeared on the case for Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin who is Ford's attorney. Mr. Orbelian said Ford lives out of state and needs to see the probation report.

Ford entered a guilty plea to one count of PC 503, embezzlement. Ford agreed to full restitution for all victims. He is eligible for probation as he has no prior felony convictions.

I have covered statements from Thomas Mulder, described as "the primary victim" by Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers, who has spoken at every hearing several times in previous coverage. Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer appeared on the case for Ms. Myers.
