The deadline for Eureka City candidate applications won’t be extended because the two incumbents are ineligible to run again; the final deadline is today.
Eureka City Council Ward 4 gets another candidate.
Eureka City Clerk Pam Powell said, "I have received one set of signatures this morning from Eddie Morgan for the fourth ward."
There are two Eddie Morgans in Eureka on Facebook.

By the end of the day, let's see how many candidates qualify. And if they are serious, we will find out if there is an announcement or any website/social media presence. Ms. Powell will be doing a press release today.
Another candidate for Ward 4 is Bill Tuttle. He owns the Chalet and is a retired disabled veteran and is a Republican and a conservative. Ms. Powell confirmed he just dropped off signatures.
From yesterday's post:
Ward 2:
Tamar Shirley and Lucinda Jackson both have qualified. Dot Jager Wentworth’s signatures are at the County being verified.
Ward 4
Matthew Owen and Liza Welsh both have there signatures in; they are also at the County being verified.
