These recruits are scheduled to graduate from the Redwoods Police Academy today. Then, they get promoted to Deputy Sheriffs and start a 16 week training program. According to Sheriff William Honsal, they all graduated at the top of their class.
"I am proud to hire and train these 6 new deputy sheriffs," said Sheriff Honsal. " They are smart, professional, and dedicated to serving this community. Several of these new deputies have grown up in Humboldt County and are invested in protecting the community. "
