On December 1, 2018, at about 10:45 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received three 911 calls from an unknown individual. Upon being contacted a fourth time, an unknown female notified dispatch of an emergency but immediately disconnected.
Deputies were able to contact the female and she advised them of her location in the 2300 block of Mckinleyville Ave in Mckinleyville, CA.
Upon deputy arrival, another male indicated he was the victim of a robbery which had just occurred. The victim stated two individuals, one male & one female, had entered his residence and forced him to the ground.
The victim stated the male stood over him while the female stole numerous items from his residence. While investigating further, deputies located additional stolen property which matched the description from previously reported burglaries.
Deputies ultimately located sixty-nine items of stolen property from two previous theft cases reported to the HCSO. A few of the recovered items included numerous tools, a washer and dryer and two new toilets. The value of all recovered items was estimated to be nearly $10,500.
Based on the investigation, Miguel Enrique Amador, was taken into custody and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility with a fresh charge of PC 496(a) – possession of stolen property. Amador’s bail was set at $25,000.
This investigation is still ongoing and the suspects of the robbery are currently outstanding.
