Political candidates and any other groups that set up at the Old Town Gazebo during Arts Alive tonight will not only have to share space with HACHR and an "event" but there is a specific area for the "event."
I thought it was first come, first served? City Clerk Pam Powell is just the messenger, so who is with the special treatment for HACHR and the "event."?
Ward 3 candidate Jeannie Breslin was setting up at 2 p.m. Apparently, Breslin's booth is fine. She showed me the map and said she is within the open area. No one has asked her to move.
There have been a few social media posts about HACHR being at Arts Alive. Robert Tuel gave me permission to share his post.
Also you would think HACHR would know the correct spelling of Kim Bergel's name. She is one HACHR's most rah rah supporters on City Council.
So sick of the junkies, was working behind a building and had to wait for this dealer to shot up his customer. Freaking losers. The drugs come from Mexico, build the Wall.
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite sure what the "event" was, but our table (Yes on Measure K) and others lined both sides of F Street. HACHR was behind us towards the gazebo and there was music and dancing extending out into the closed F Street. None of the tables was asked to move.
ReplyDeleteNo one was asked to move because everyone else not part of the "event" put their tables in the spaces indicated in the letter sent out above. Every Arts Alive, it is first come, first served. The groups in the "event" area have plenty of opportunities to outreach and if they wanted to be a part of Arts Alive, they did not need a special area designated. Arts Alive is the event First Saturdays in Old Town, not HACHR or any other group.
