Preliminary hearing for Mexican citizen involved in standoff with HCSO scheduled for May 23

Setting for Mexican citizen Hugo Aguirre's preliminary was scheduled for May 9. Due to the D.A.'s schedule, the preliminary is scheduled for May 23. The preliminary is expected to take a full day.



A hearing was set for May 21 to confirm that defense has received all discovery.

Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O' Connell is representing Aguirre. Deputy District Attorney Josh Rosenfeld is prosecuting the case.
