Maziar Eshghipour's preliminary for elder abuse, insurance fraud and other charges set for August 27

Setting of the preliminary hearing for Maziar Eshghipour was scheduled for May 16.

Intervention is scheduled for August 20. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 27.



Eshghipour is charged with Elder Abuse in Count 1.

Count 2: Insurance Fraud; Count 3 Fraudulent Alteration of a Medical Credential; Count 4 Fraudulent Abuse of an Altered Medical Credential, Count 45 Practicing Medicine without Certification.

The alleged counts are from the time Eshghipour was at  Eel River Dental.

Deputy District Attorney Tobias Hasler is prosecuting the case. Deputy DA Carolyn  Schaffer appeared in court for Mr. Hasler today. Eshghipour is represented by Mr. Patrik Griego and Mr. Greg Rael. Mr. Griego appeared in court today.

Mr. Griego sad due to Mr. Rael's health issues, he will unavailable for a while.
