Kevin James Kay of Rio Dell and Kendra Lynn Scriptor of Eureka booked on stolen vehicle charges

On May 23, 2018, at about 4:15 p.m., a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit deputy on patrol in Fields Landing observed a suspicious vehicle parked on South Depot Road with two occupants inside.

Prior to making contact with the vehicle, the deputy observed the occupants exit and walk down the nearby levee. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Arcata earlier this month.

The deputy then located the two subjects along the levee and placed them under arrest.

Kevin James Kay, 33, of Rio Dell, was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

Kendra Lynn Scriptor, 37, of Eureka, was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of stolen property.
