Chief Judge of Hoopa Valley Tribe endorses Supervisor Ryan Sundberg


Chief Judge Richard Blake recently announced that he is endorsing Ryan Sundberg for Fifth District Supervisor.



“As Chief Judge of the Hoopa Valley Tribal Court I have had several opportunities to observe and appreciate Ryan’s continued support of collaboration between tribes and state/county agencies, including the judicial system. Ryan provides this type of progressive leadership as the Fifth District Supervisor.  He is visible in our community, very approachable and his prior experience, dedication and commitment make him the best candidate.”

“I am honored to receive Chief Judge Blake’s endorsement,” Sundberg said. “He has been recognized nationally as a justice innovator and his commitment to justice and a healthy community are inspiring.” 

Richard Blake is the Chief Judge of the Hoopa Valley Tribe, contractual Chief Judge for the Redding Rancheria, was formerly with the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation Tribal Courts, and is a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. He is the President of the National American Indian Court Judges Association and a member of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ).
