Asking for a bail review backfired on alleged child molestor Michael Franco; it got increased to 2.8 million


Confirmation of counsel and OR/Bail for Michael Thomas Franco was scheduled for May 24.

The Public Defender's office confirmed that they could represent Franco. Franco's bail was initially set at $1 million. His former attorney, Deputy District attorney said that bail was "excessive" and asked for an OR/Bail review hearing.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads requested a bail increase of 5.6 million today. Judge set it at 2.8 million. OR/Supervised Release denied.
