The Humboldt Area Center for Harm Reduction (HACHR) proposes to expand their drop-in center hours in Eureka and add mobile syringe services to various locations in Humboldt County.
The HACHR mobile program will operate in several locations throughout the week in order to offer multiple opportunities to provide services including HIV/HCV linkage to care, medical case management, substance use treatment referrals, and syringe disposal and exchange. The days and hours at each location are subject to change as the need for services changes.
The syringe exchange program will operate:
1. Mondays 1:00-5:00pm at Lundblade Drive in Orick (area bounded by Hufford Road, Lundblade Street, Redwood Highway, and Drysden Road)
2. Monday-Saturday from 10:00am-6:00pm at 1522 3rd Street, Eureka Ca. (drop-in center)

ReplyDeleteTo whom it may concern, I wish to voice my whole hearted disapproval of any needle exchange anywhere in my State of California and my Country the United States of America. I also wish to have you deny Humboldt area Center for harm reduction application. HACHR needle exchange not only litters my County with used needles it also attracts drug addicts and their accompanying waste, trash and disease. The state attorney general has sent two experts to my County to try and figure out why our rate of HIV has increased. I can save them the time and tell you why,
it's the needle exchange please deny the application immediately!
Do your job and protect the working people of the State of California, deny the application in Humboldt and in every County of the state.
Sincerely, Fed Up citizen of Humboldt County.
