Law enforcement responds to call about gunshot victim on 3300 block of H street

Eureka Police, Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance responded to 3300 block of H street in response to a call of a  gunshot victim.

Redwood News, KIEM  published this photo and location: "Eureka police are on scene of a reported shooting in the alley of H Street and Manzanita Street in Eureka." KIEM also reported that victim was transported to the hospital.




EPD Chief Steve Watson just tweeted (6:38 p.m.) :

I can confirm there was a shooting at a residence off the 3300 block of H Street, Eureka around 4:52 PM tonight. Responding officer’s found one deceased adult female. Suspect fled in a vehicle. Investigators on scene. Further to follow.

As this is still an active investigation, at this time EPD is not confirming or releasing information about additional victims.
