"As the Court told you, this is optional for the defense " is how Mr. Russ Clanton started his opening statement in the Mario Alexander case. "I am not going to paint you a road map because I don't know where this case will go."

"We don't know about Jane Doe #2  " said Mr. Clanton. He mentioned that before she was with Mario Alexander, Julianne Alexander was married to a man in Oakhurst  Donny (last name starts with G) "There were lot of internal issues " and Donny G. got custody of Jane Doe #2. They lived with Leonara Webb and Vernon Webb who will testify. Vernon Webb is a convicted child molestor, said Mr. Clanton.

"You will learn from Jane Doe #2 that she learned sexual behavior from her cousins." Mr. Clanton said that Jane Doe #2 had made accusations against multiple individuals in the past snd that she had previously recanted her allegations about Alexander.

"The relationship between these two girls had a sexual component." Mr. Clanton said Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2 had "sexually charged conversations" and that Jane Doe #2 said Jane Doe #1 taught her about "popping the girl part."

"These  two young girls had a lexicon of sexual understanding and didn't know how to manage that," said Mr. Clanton.

"Jane Doe# 1's testimony will show that she saw Mario Alexander as a mean person." This was about type of food, chores, discipline, Mr. Clanton said.

He said Shannon, Jane Doe #1's mother "developed animosity" towards Alexander and "that may play a role" in these allegations.

Mr. Clanton said "the end result would be acquittal."
