Law enforcement has no record of a permit for the Centro Del Pueblo organized march from Fortuna to Eureka today. They are trying to find the organizer of the march.
CHP is trying to keep the marchers down to one lane.
The photos on their Facebook page say
"from Fortuna to Eureka for a Sanctuary county!"
Not much of a turnout in the morning. About 20 people in front of the courthouse this afternoon.
I have contacted CHP for followup. On Monday, CHP PIO is waiting to hear from weekend supervisor. I also contacted HCSO; PIO Samantha Karges said, "We were called by the CHP to assist with public safety regarding this march. However, when our deputies arrived their assistance was no longer needed."
Typical, just keep pissing everybody off.
