Omgosh...I am deeply sorrowed by what I found out this morning...If you donate to Humboldt Area Foundation please listen...
We applied for a holiday grant from HAF for our group that helps single mom's this year. We qualified on every point of their application--already doing a Christmas party, serve a disadvantaged group, provide food and clothing, use some of our own funds...we did not hear from them, and our pastor went to the banquet and we did not get one dime from them. Today I found out why...they gave the holiday grant to HACHR (needle exchange program where they give needles to addicts)!!!!!
So our 50 single mom families will not get food baskets or WinCo cards (at least not from them) to be able to bless their dear families this year...how very sad and sickening. I just don't understand. Please share to let people know.
