A letter was sent to local realtors. Was it sent by the same Fred Fletcher, who wrote the letter to the North Coast Journal?
Did NCJ verify who wrote this letter?

I did contact Lawrence Killoran for comment on the letters.
Lot of anonymous facebook pages, anonymous comments and unsubstantiated claims in Humboldt.
And for those who don't read my blog regularly, here is some pertinent information:
1. I am not the "media" outlet with huge ads for Lawrence Killoran for Judge.
2. I was the only one in local media who reported on realtor Randy Cook, represented by Killoran's law partner Michael Robinson. Randy Cook's felony was recently reduced to a misdemeanor and his criminal record was expunged.

3. I was the one who covered the David Anderson case, trials and plea for the first human trafficking sex case, long before the couple of articles in the Times Standard.
This was never anonymous. My name is on all the letters and I'm listed as counsel for the facebook page. I provide a platform for victims. You provide a platform for criminal defense lawyers. If you were an objective blogger you would have contacted me before publishing this. You saw my name listed on everything. I stand by it all. I have practiced at the Court for 5 years. ReplyDeleteFred, I personally have been someone you have gone off spouting your mouth about so I am familar with your smarmy tactics. You like to stir up allegations and love seeing your name in print. Allegations need to have evidence.

Your personal opinion of me is your personal opinion of me. Opinions are not facts. I don't have to contact you for unsubstantiated claims you make in your letter to the realtors. A letter that anyone could have written.
Provide credible evidence of your allegations, Fred. As a lawyer, you would know that basic concept, wouldn't you?
The letter in the NCJ does not state or verify that it is you. What platform do you provide for victims Fred? Were you there to take on a local businessman, Ingomar Club member Randall Cook when a plea deal was struck and he was able to get away with diluting a serious charge against his own grandaughter? Have you been there for Kiya Kitchen and Faith Tsarnas taking on the Pearlstons and Humboldt Superior Court system? Were you there when I took on the Meserve clan and covered the Kailan Meserve case? These are just a few examples.
You were not. My entire blog has been standing up for victims and exposing entrenched power systems in this small and rural community. The only ones who think I am not objective are the ones being exposed.
I am extremely disappointed that Mr. Killoran did not respond with a comment. Fred, if you feel so strongly about the Humboldt Superior Court system, why don't you apply to be Judge? Afraid of being scrutinized?
You are a bully and a coward Fred just like others who attack me. Easy to pick on an independent blogger who takes risks daily to bring information to the public than really take on those with money and power in this community.
Furthermore, Fred making accusations like I provide a platform for defense lawyers is another one of your slanderous and baseless remarks. Anyone who reads my blog sees through your lies. Fred, do you not have enough work as a lawyer? You seem to have an awful lot of time on a regular basis going around making defamatory remarks about people. Thank you for providing documentation online for anyone considering hiring you for future that they would be better off with someone professional.
