People's request for bail increase for Joshua David Grow; he was cuffed and taken into custody

Bail review hearing and setting for jury trial for Joshua David Grow was scheduled for May 16.

People's request for bail increase of $75,000 was granted by Judge Wilson. Grow was remanded in court.

A OR/Bail hearing was set for May 17. Trial confirmation is set for June 21; Jury trial for July 9.

Grow's bail bondsman was in court. Dates were set now on a "time not waived basis."

Defense indicated that dates could change if Grow posts bail today. Defense had requested an ankle monitor in lieu of bail. That request has been referred to supervised release.

As expected, Grow posted bail and is out of custody.

Count 1 is PC 288  (c) 1. Lewd act upon a child.

Counts 2-5 PC 30600 Manufacture/Assault Weapon

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin was appointed at the last hearing to represent Grow.
