Best to check HCSO jail reports directly and court records for accurate information

Timothy James Flemming arrested May 15 by HCSO on a fresh arrest for alleged violation of PC 273.5 (a), corporal injury to a spouse and arrested on a bench warrant for VC12500 (a) unlawful to drive unless licensed.

The bench warrant case also has another charge, possess controlled substance paraphenelia. Flemming failed to appear for arraignment on that misdemeanor complaint.

I followed up with HCSO PIO Samantha Karges:

"The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center received a call for service yesterday around 2:30 p.m. reporting domestic violence against a spouse that had occurred at a residence on the 2300 block of McKinleyville Ave. earlier that day.

Upon further investigation, our deputies determined that there was enough evidence to arrest Timothy Flemming on domestic violence charges. He was arrested at about 5 p.m. that afternoon on charges of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, in addition to a misdemeanor warrant for driving without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

To protect the victim, we are not able to release the details of the domestic violence act."

Summaries  like the one below are misleading and indicate that the bench warrant was issued for one case. Nor are all the charges listed.
