Fifth District Supervisor Ryan Sundberg to apply for vacant seat on CA Coastal Commission
Fifth District Supervisor Ryan Sundberg is throwing in his hat to apply for Martha McClure's seat to represent the North Coast on the Coastal Commission.

McClure lost her seat last year.
Gov. Jerry Brown will have to find a replacement, who must be an elected official, a city councilor or county supervisor, from Mendocino, Del Norte or Humboldt counties.
Supervisor Sundberg had been asked for his biography.

Dear Supervisor Bass:
Pursuant to Section 30301.2 ofthe Public Resources Code, we are requesting the
county and city selection committees of Del Norte, Humboldt and Mendocino
counties to nominate at least one board supervisor and at least one city council
member for appointment to the California Coastal Commission for the seat
requiring a representative from the North Coast Region.
Please submit your list of nominees from Humboldt's county and city select
committee to Ms. Kristin Stauffacher, Appointments Advisor. Office ofthe
Governor. Stale Capitol. California 95814 within 45 days ofreceipt of this
request.
Candidates for consideration should be officials committed to and knowledgeable
about coastal preservation and conservation.
