On Saturday, January 7, 2017 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Humboldt County Deputy Sheriffs met with a possible assault victim. The female victim told deputies she was kidnapped by her estranged husband, 57 year old Alvin Lee Wingo, Jr., on December 27, 2016 from a residence out of the area.
Wingo drove the victim to his residence in Hoopa where she was held hostage for several days. The victim was repeatedly assaulted by Wingo and he threatened to kill the victim with a firearm. On January 7, 2017 Wingo left the residence and the victim was able to find help and contact law enforcement.
Wingo is wanted for domestic violence, making criminal threats, kidnapping, torture, being a felon in possession of a firearm and false imprisonment. Wingo is believed to be driving a 2001 red Subaru Forrester. Do not attempt to contact Wingo as he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
