Peter Vanderzee booked on 5 counts of embezzlement and one count of grand theft
Peter John Vanderzee was booked on five counts of PC 503 embezzlement and one count of PC 487(a) grand theft and released.
I did some followup on the arrest and it was in Loleta. I am not printing the actual address but it matches the address connected to Peter Vanderzee aka Peter Van der zee who is the owner of Eel River Farms and the owner of the former Loleta Bakery. The age also matches.
HCSO PIO Samantha Karges confirmed Vanderzee turned himself in to the jail.

14 year old booked in custody for criminal threats in Arcata High School investigation
On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at approximately 11:00am, the Arcata Police Department responded to Arcata High School to investigate school threats posted to social media.
"Whether in a parking lot, crosswalk, or sidewalk, we are all pedestrians at one point."
October is National Pedestrian Safety Month and Eureka Police Department will raise awareness about the safety of people walking throughout the month, emphasizing that “safe drivers, safe speeds and safe vehicles save lives.”
State lawsuit against Humboldt County and former Auditor dismissal scheduled for next July
The court received the settlement in the People of the State of California vs County of Humboldt and former auditor controller Karen Paz Dominguez at the 9/30/22 case management conference. The next court date is a dismissal hearing scheduled for 7/14/23.
Sex offender arrested by EPD, released by jail on O.R.
Troy Aaron Welsch was arrested by Eureka Police Department for PC 290.011(a) failure to register as a sex offender and PC 647 (f) public intoxication.
Welsch is just one of the many repeat offenders on the daily arrest log. Just four days later, on October 9, he was arrested again by EPD PC 290.011(a) failure to register as a sex offender and PC 647 (f) public intoxication.

Convicted sex offender has 3 failures to register, two of those are 2022 arrests
Yesterday, HCSO arrested convicted sex offender Shawn Sterling Porter again for PC 290.012(a) and PC 69.
I reported previously that Potter was arrested on May 12, 2022 for failure to register. He was released on O.R. Porter also has a 2021 case for failure to register as a sex offender and driving on a suspended/revoked license.
Last time it was defense, now DA wants continuance for Gary Landergen's preliminary hearing
Last time, it was the defense who filed a motion to continue alleged molestor Gary Landergen's hearing. The District Attorney's office is the one seeking a continuance today. The DA's office filed their motion on August 2.
Landergen is charged with 8 counts. Three alleged victims.

Flee from law enforcement, crash into a tree, get arrested for a DUI
On Oct. 2, 2022, at about 2:01 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the Garberville area attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued.

Kiai Kickingbear Lincoln was arrested yesterday by HCSO for PC 22810 unlawful use of tear gas and PC 69 resisting an executive officer.
"Off record, I have two reliable sources say Coach Tomlin has been asked to resign by St Bernards football due to the appearance or reality of inappropriate conduct. "
On August 29, I reported Humboldt County Drug Task Force's and HCSO Sgt Tomlin who is also a coach at St. Bernard's was being investigated for sexual harassment allegations.
"The County is not in possession of records related to Mr. Tomlin that are disclosable pursuant to S.B. 1421." The County worded their response very carefully.
On October 3, I received another tip from the same person.
