Murder suspect Anthony Hamilton booked into jail yesterday on an arrest warrant

 

36 year old murder suspect Anthony Lee Hamilton was booked into the Humboldt County jail yesterday on an arrest warrant for PC 187 (a) murder. He is charged with killing Jennika Lee Suazo.

The last update was from EPD which is in my December 8, 2021. I have regularly followed this homicide since Suazo's body was discovered in her residence on 3rd and P in 2016.

For a long time, I was the only one who did any follow up to this 2016 homicide. This January, I reported EPD had a solid lead. In my Dec 11, 2016 post,I reported her mother's boyfriend, Anthony Hamilton murdered her.

4/16: Hamilton was arraigned, Conflict Counsel appointed, no bail status, preliminary hearing is on 4/25.

4/25: Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner made an oral motion to continue the preliminary hearing for further investigation. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees had no objection. Judge Joyce Hinrichs granted the defense motion. Setting of preliminary hearing is on 6/11.

6/11: It was clarified in court that instead of setting of preliminary hearing, today was actually supposed to be the probsble cause hearing but defense had a motion to continue and the new date is 8/8.

8/8: Another request to continue preliminary hearing by defense; rescheduled to 9/12.
