This is an instagram post from 18 hours where Kreis claims he received notice on February 7. The meager 27 likes, I just checked include many of his endorsers such as his daughter and Sheriff Billy Honsal. Go check out the instagram post yourself.
Now, I could call Len "Chip" Perry but I can bet you that once this post is published Kreis, his endorser Rex or any of Kreis' handlers could reach Chip before me. His office is literally across the street from the courthouse. It turns out Chip did personally serve Kreis, so here Kreis is, caught in another lie.
Chip also served former Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez. Kreis was the judge and the only Humboldt Judge to release a grand jury report before an election. That report was about Ms. Paz Dominguez. Kreis, Rex and his defenders need to stop whining. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
Chip signed under penalty of perjury that he served Kreis. Let's assume one scenario that he dropped the notice with the judicial secretary on the second floor. Most of us, including media, are not allowed direct contact with a judge. Even law enforcement for a warrant are taken to chambers by a court bailiff or deputy. Even if that is used which is a spin I guarantee Kreis or someone else will try and use that it was a Friday. All someone from administration had to do was go over to Kreis' courtroom, chambers or if he was MIA as he often is not working for the afternoon, day or on vacation; we have devices and technology today called a phone, text, email. I am sure admininstration would contact him. Did his lawyer not know either?
I leave it to the readers and voters to judge Kreis' credibility. You have plenty of evidence where he has not been upfront. Maybe I should include the jury instructions on evidence and credibility of witnesses? Kreis has taken up a lot of time in these past two days so google them and for once you get to be the judge and jury. You can announce your verdict with your vote and sentence Kreis accordingly.
I have sent this to the CJP since Kreis is basically calling them liars in a public response. Maybe they should investigate when he was served?
Kreis and his attorney keep insisting and claiming that the CJP investigation is all because of one complaint by former Deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin. It is evident from the 19 counts and 34 page complaint that it is more than one person. There is a motion for a new trial against Kreis' co-defendants Public Defender Luke Brownfield and former Public Defender Marek Reavis. Again, Kreis and his attorney are deliberately leaving this new development out. No other media has reported on that motion for a new trial. That ommission is certainly convenient for their advertiser Kreis.
