AliKat, thanks for the shout out. The fact that it is on LOCO is even better. Yes, people are finally listening. More need to and everyone should read the CJP report and compare it to the answers incumbent Judge Kreis fudged online in response to questions.
Thank you to Jesse Smith who posted this on LOCO on 2/8. I couldn't find the comment. Wouldn't be the first time LOCO deleted a comment that was positive about me.
I know that certain local media are too petty to give me the credit for reporting on this years before today's CJP press release but they don't matter. You, the readers do. For years, most of the other local media could have covered the numerous Kreis scandals. They chose to look the other way as they have often with the good ole boys. Now with the CJP notice of formal proceedings, they had to report and it involves zero risk. This is a victory for justice today and the brave men and women who chose to speak up and expose Kreis and his enablers and the people he and his cohorts tried to destroy and silence.
The CJP corroborated everything I reported in real time. My posts have a lot more information. I have four words for Kreis and his cohorts. Former Judge Jeffrey Johnson. The rest of you can google that name and CJP.
I contacted Clerk, Recorder, Registrar of Voters Juan Cervantes and asked him, "The Commission on Judicial Performance today announced formal proceedings against incumbent Judge Gregory Kreis. There is a whole process so no action has been taken yet and based on the timeline, I doubt any significant decision before the March 5, 2024 primary. Is there any election code if he is censured, there is disciplinary action or removed from the bench?
"That’s definitely a judicial administration question," responded Mr. Cervantes. "At this point there is nothing that will remove a candidate from the ballot."
Thad hasn't posted yet and its late today; 9:27 p.m. Probably consulting with Luke Brownfield and the PD's office on how he can spin the CJP report for them, regurgitate a few findings and pass off what they say as reporting. LOCO and substandard are no better. At least LOCO and sub standard managed to eke out something at the end of the day, which was a shocker. Silence from local attorney Eric Kirk,. You would think he could at least link to the CJP site. That doesn't require a lot of guts Eric, just cut and paste. Eric posted something the next day on 2/8 at 8:39 a.m. and Eric, thanks for the credit. 48 hours later and still zilch on NCJ. There is nothing on RHBB or NorthCoast News 48 hours later. There is no excuse for no coverage for a major news story, especially if you are a local media with Kreis ads. Ryan Hutson who works for Eric Kirk's firm finally posted something on 2/9. Ryan interviewed her boss as if he is an expert on CJP proceedings. He lost and cost Kim Bergel fees. Eric can keep his legal opinions to the confines of his law office where his law partner Chris Hamer lost in a ruling by Kreis for threatening Rio Dell Times. Both Kreis and Kirk are advertisers on RHBB. 72 hours later, still nothing on NCJ and NCN.
