Autumn Luna 1, good ole boys 0. The real showdown is next Friday

Anyone who knows the law knew the five lawsuits filed against the City of Eureka; four by Citizens for a Better Eureka and one by Eureka Housing for All are a temper tantrum by Rob Arkley, Security National and the good ole boys to own the libs and the City of Eureka because their egos are bruised.

Most of the regular whiners talking about this affecting business on Facebook or other places online are landlords and well off yet choosing to rent places as Airbnbs in Eureka or using houses as offices which could be rented by families, law enforcement and others working but struggling to find housing because of the greed of Humboldt landlords and property management companies. Others rather have their houses and apartments stay vacant then bring them up to code. Many houses and apartments owned by one person and so called Christians are also being taken up by progeny who can't hold down a job or need daddy and mommy to prop them and each progeny is  occupying a house that could house doctors, law enforcement, health care employees and law enforcement. So cough up that housing in exchange for your precious parking spaces since walking two three blocks is too much for your entitled feet.

I just did a post last month with court documents, court minutes and details on each lawsuit. I have regularly done so on these five lawsuits. I am not going to do a new post everytime Bradley Johnson, CBE or EHA sneeze and flex their muscle.

I expected Judge Timothy Canning to rule as he did today in the Eureka Housing for All vs City of Eureka case. I will add the court minutes when they are available. I did not go to the court hearing because I have other court cases and news that I preferred to cover.

"The court did rule from the bench to sustain the City's demurrer without leave to amend," confirmed City of Eureka attorney Autumn Luna.

The real showdown is next week when the four cases are on for the ruling on the motion for preliminary injunction filed by CBE. I will add court minutes for that hearing as well because there is the likelihood that Judge Canning may take the matter under submission.

Bradley better drink his coffee next Friday because he will be arguing against three lawyers. Let's see how he fares against Ms. Luna, the State of California and the Legal Services of California.

That is unless Presiding Judge Gregory Kreis decides to take over the cases from him now that the good ole boys are losing. Kreis did that in another high profile case in which the County was losing and Judge Canning ruled against them. If you read my blog regularly, you know the case. This is the first post I did on Kreis taking over. If you want to read his rulings and my coverage after that, you need use the search feature on by blog.
