Nick,no you may not ask me to remove alleged molestor Gary Landergen's photo

 

Nick, you obviously can use google. If you had bothered to search the posts and all the coverage on my blog, you would see that while Landergen was not held to the four felony counts PC 288 (c); (1) lewd and lascivious acts with a minor after the preliminary trial,  he was held to answer on four remaining counts: Count 5 and 6 PC 243.4 sexual battery and Counts 7 and 8 PC 667.61 child molestation. He still has a jury trial scheduled. 

My email address is for my readers, for news tips, for advertisers, for donors. It is not for people to misuse it who feel entitled to write to me on behalf of their privileged friend, acquaintance or themselves. For some reason, 99 percent of the few requests to take down a valid post are always from white entitled locals.

Why is it that people only email to take a booking photo down from my blog? Did you contact any other local media? 

Nick, regardless of the outcome of the trial, your buddy and coach was arrested, he had a probable cause hearing and just like any other defendant, the booking photo will remain. When his cases concludes, whether it it is a verdict or if it resolves with a plea, an update will be posted. And like any other defendant whose booking photos and case coverage are posted by media, his booking photo and arrest and coverage of case will remain even after the case has concluded.

When he was arrested and since he was arrested, Landergen and his obnoxious minions have walked into the Humboldt County courthouse with an entitled attitude. After the preliminary hearing, Landgren and his fellow buds walked out guffawing. Maybe if someone else than Fortuna Police's Det. Ryan Richardson had investigated this case, maybe an officer with experience like EPD or Rio Dell PD officers and another judge other had presided over the preliminary hearing instead of Retired Judge John Feeney who almost let sexually violent predator Joshua Cooley out on the street, your "buddy, mentor, coach" would have been held to answer on more charges.

 I covered his preliminary hearing I heard the evidence. Read the coverage and what your "mentor" admitted to and did not dispute.

From the moment of his arrest, the alleged victims were harangued on social media. Now you send me this email. Your "mentor" needs to conduct himself appropriately with students, especially young women. Instead of sending me an email, why don't you tell Landergen to conduct himself the way a decent teacher and coach would and leave his bawdy, tasteless jokes confined to private get togethers like the other butt ugly pervy local men who move around in Humbodt connected circles thinking they can say and act however whatever they want about women and girls.

You interrupted my weekend, the little free time I have lately and what was a peaceful day with your clueless request reminding me of the consequences of real journalism in this county and the constant exhausation of doing a thankless job in a small county where certain people think they are above the law because of who they are.
