Given what she has gone through, Jessica Springer was very fair in her demeanor while talking about the Goldbergs

Mr. Russo's cross examination of Jessica Springer was brief. He went over some differences from the preliminary and today.

Not easy to cross examine a grieving widow.

It does not change the fact, there were inconsistencies, differences and certain testimony not brought up at the preliminary hearing. Jury trial allows the prosecution to prep their witnesses.

Springer didn't deny differences in her testimony and explained others. She expressed no anger as she spoke about Rachel or Jon Goldberg.

Compared to her demeanor at the preliminary which was understandably raw; today the sadness and exhausation and the toll Tim Smith's death has had on her  showed on Springer's face.

Court ended early today at 3:30 after Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal asked to "approach" and have the attorneys speak privately with the Judge.
